Finally the wait is over. Province of Nova Scotia, Canada officially announced the list of Designated Employers for the Atlantic Immigration Program 2022.
Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is a permanent version of old Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program AIPP. Now AIP is serving 4 Atlantic Provinces Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Designated Employers from these four provinces can hire skilled workers and international graduates under Atlantic Immigration Program to fill the labour shortage issue.
This is an employer driven program, means the initial application for your immigration process must be submitted by your employer who is offering a job. But not every employer can make a job offer under Atlantic Immigration program AIP.
To hire any Foreign Worker, employers are required to get Designated by the province in which they are located. We have already seen the List of Designated Employers published by Newfoundland and Labrador.
Now province of Nova Scotia has finally announced the list of designated employers, These employers are registered with the Nova Scotia Provincial Immigration in order to hire foreign workers under AIP.

Once any employer endorse the applicant’s position, the applicant then can apply directly to Canadian Federal Immigration Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada for the Permanent Residency PR of Canada .
Temporary Work Permits
While the applicant’s PR application is in process, which takes approximately 18 months, applicant can ask the Nova Scotia Provincial Immigration for a Temporary Work Permit. Which allows applicants and their families to Come to Canada and start their job.
