Canadian Immigration has updated the List of Designated Employers of Prince Edward Island for AIP. Atlantic Immigration program is one of the simplest program of Canada’s immigration. Employers do not need a positive LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) to hire any foreign worker.
Atlantic Immigration Program 2025 (AIP)
As we all know, Atlantic Immigration Program AIP was launched in January 2022, and is a new updated version of Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program AIPP. AIPP was closed in December 2021. After the successful results and huge number of New immigrants came to Canada via AIPP, Canadian Immigration decided to make it a permanent program of Canadian Federal Immigration.
AIP Participating Provinces
The New Permanent program of Canadian Federal Immigration is Atlantic Immigration Program AIP. Employers of four Atlantic provinces Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador can get the benefits of AIP without having a positive LMIA. It is purely to overcome the labour shortage issues faced by the provinces.
Employers of these four provinces can hire foreign workers under AIP. The employer must submit the application to hire anyone under AIP. There is no way for the applicant to submit its immigration application under Atlantic Immigration Program.
Designated Employers for AIP
Employers must register themselves with their provincial immigration office to get designated before hiring a foreign worker. As an international applicant, you must apply for a job with a Designated Employer. The whole immigration process under AIP starts only after securing a Job Offer Letter from any Designated Employer.
We have already seen the Lists of Designated Employers published by two Atlantic Provinces, Newfoundland and Labrador and Nova Scotia and are given below
