New Designated Employers of Newfoundland and Labrador – Atlantic Immigration Program 2025

The Atlantic Immigration Program AIP is an easy pathway for foreign workers to obtain Canadian Permanent Residency. Designated Employers of 4 Atlantic Provinces i.e. Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island can hire foreign workers under this new Atlantic Immigration Program without the requirement of LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment).

Old AIPP (Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program) was closed on 31st December, 2021. As that was a Pilot program. Due to the success of that AIPP, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced that now AIP is a permanent program of Canadian Immigration System.

The Designated Employers of Old AIPP can no longer hire foreign workers under this New AIP. From January 1st, 2022 Employers who want to hire foreign Workers under New Atlantic Immigration program (AIP) must be designated in the province they are located.

Newfoundland and labrador became the first Atlantic province in 2022 to publish the List of new Designated Employers for AIP. In the province of Newfoundland and Labrador Employers must be designated from the Immigration & Multiculturalism OIM Office. This Designation process is Free for Employers with a strong commitment to help and support Newcomers to settle and to start their life in Canada.
