IMMIGRATE TO CANADA | MOVING TO CANADA | EXPRESS ENTRY CANADA | CANADA WORK VISA | IMMIGRATION REFUGEES AND CITIZENSHIP CANADA | CANADA WORK PERMIT | STUDENT VISA CANADA
Moving to Canada is exciting, but needs a lot of preparation and paper work. This article will help you find the best option which suits your situation. Choose your program wisely and start preparing for moving to Canada.
In 2024, there are more than 100 economic class immigration programs available to choose from, including Federal and Provincial Programs.
Many of the Canadian Immigration Programs require a Job Offer to qualify, and getting a Job Offer is really not easy, as the employers are also restricted with immigration policies and rules like LMIA etc. But there are pathways offered by Canadian Immigration which do not require a Job Offer.
How To Choose Your Program
To choose a perfect immigration program for yourself and your family, do a quick self assessment. These four points will filter out some immigration pathways for you.
- What is your Work Experience?
- What is your Qualification?
- What is your Age?
- Language ability?
Below are the five main pathways, through which many immigrants moved to Canada in recent years.
- Express Entry Canada
- Provincial Nominee Programs
- Student Visa Canada
- Canada Work Visa
- Family Sponsorship
Express Entry Canada
Express Entry is one of the fastest way to immigrate to Canada in 2024. This is a Federal Immigration Program for skilled and qualified individuals. Applicants can apply online for Express Entry Canada.
There is no fee to submit your Express Entry Profile. Once the application is submitted, every profile gets into the pool of candidates, and get a scored on the basis of following factors.
Age, Education, Language Ability and Work Experience. Express Entry Candidates with high CRS scores are invited to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence through draws held weekly or monthly.
Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)
These are the immigration programs designed by the Canadian provinces to overcome the labor shortage and other economic challenges in the province.
There are total 13 provinces in Canada, 11 provinces run their provincial nominee programs. Nunavut do not offer a separate PNP and the province of Quebec runs its Immigration program parallel to the federal immigration program of Canada.
From unskilled workers like Dishwashers to highly qualified individuals like Scientists or Doctors, various streams are available under Provincial Nominee Programs. People who are not eligible for Express Entry for any reason, may qualify and apply under Provincial Nominee Programs.
Study Visa Canada
Many International Students come to Canada each year. As Canada is considered a heaven for students around the world to enhance their educational and professional abilities.
Recently Canada Immigration has made major changes in their policy towards International Students.
CANADA STUDY VISA – BIG UPDATES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN 2024
Students are usually allowed to work for just 20 hours per week. After the completion of their course, some students are now eligible for PGWP (post graduate work permit). It is an open work permit allows its holder to work for any employer in Canada until the work permit is valid
So, be careful students, wisely choose your institution, course and then process your Canada Study Visa.
Canada Work Visa
Now the most important part of Canadian Immigration is Canada Work Visa. Let me be very clear that this is not a Permanent Residency Program of Canadian Immigration. It allows foreign workers to work in Canada for a specific time.
There are two major pathways for getting a Canadian Work Permit.
The two basic differences are:
- TFWP offers Employer Specific Work Permits whereas under IMP applicants can get Open Work Permit to work for any employer in Canada.
- TFWP requires the Employer to secure a positive LMIA (labor market impact assessment) in order to process the application of a foreign worker whereas NO LMIA required for the applicants under IMP to get Canada Work Visa.
Family Sponsorship
Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents are allowed to sponsor their family members to Canada. Family members means, Spouse (Common Law Partner), Children, Parents and Grandparents. There are specific streams and options offered by Canadian immigration to sponsor Brother, Sister, Aunt, Uncle or other family members.
The sponsored Family members may also be eligible for Canada’s Open Work Permit.
